Location:                      Homer, Alaska
Wages/Pay:                  $15 – $17.00 / hour

Looking for individuals who would like a seasonal job in the beautiful Seaport Town of Homer Alaska.

We need 2 reservation clerks for a morning and afternoon shift.  Hours will be 6:00 am to 1:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Our office is located on the Homer Spit.

Job Description

To create a positive guest experience from first point of contact, through the reservation process, travel, arrival & welcoming, friendly departures, daily activities, processed fish shipments, and gift shop sales for up to 24 guests per day, for an approximate 100 day operating season with guests, and we operate 7 days a week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Greet Walk-Up Customers
  • Contact customers via phone, email, text for trip confirmations
  • Process customer payments
  • Manage our reservations calendar through our reservation system called Fare Harbor
  • Post charter follow-up
    • Get customers to leave positive online reviews
    • Sell branded merchandise such as hoodies, hats, shirts
  • Posting daily content to our social media pages – Facebook, Instagram
  • Misc errands as necessary

Qualifications And Experience Requirements

  • Good phone and people skills
  • Professional attitude
  • Positive, outgoing attitude with an understanding of what customer service truly means
  • Basic computer skills: Email, Web-Browser
  • Ability to always be on time
