We offer a wide range of fishing trips. These can range from shorter 3/4-day nearby halibut trips designed to provide a quick halibut experience to long-range multi-species trips targeting some of the largest halibut in the world. Find your perfect adventure!

Our Fishing Grounds

Not surprisingly, knowing where to fish is where it all begins. We are so fortunate to have such a massive and fertile fishing area at nearly 4,500 square miles. The fishing grounds begin almost as soon as we leave the Homer harbor extending as far north as Ninilchik and as far south as the Barren Islands.

These waters are home to millions of halibut, rockfish, lingcod, shark, Octopus, Skates, and more.

Where we fish depends on the type of trip we’re taking that day, previous days fishing quality, and of course, we always keep a mindful eye on the weather. But, the entirety of the area in red are areas we might fish on your trip.

Halibut Fishing Trips

We offer both 3/4 day and full-day halibut fishing trips. Our 3/4 day trips are designed around anglers that would like to get out and experience what it’s like to be on the waters of Kachemak Bay and catching good sized halibut without making the commitment to a full day longer range fishing trip. These trips stay closer to Homer and are intended to provide a great experience local experience.

Our full-day trips are designed to go after even larger halibut and usually require a longer ride out to the fishing grounds.

If you’re looking for the ultimate halibut fishing trip, then check out our multi-species trophy halibut, rockfish, and optional salmon trips. These trips can require 2 hours ride to our fishing grounds but also provide the opportunity to target some of the largest halibut in the world.

Salmon Fishing Trips

All 5 species of salmon spend time in the waters of Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet. Our most popular species to target are king salmon and silver salmon. These fish are often staging and passing through Kachemak Band and Cook Inlet as they make their way back to their native rivers and streams such as the Kenai River, Kasilof River, Russian River, Anchor River, Ninilchik River, Kustatan River and many, many more.

Each river in Alaska has its own particular run timing and peak but regardless of which river the fish are headed towards, they have to pass through the waters of Cook Inlet. That means targeting these fish in Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet provides great opportunities to catch these fish instead of waiting for them to get to the river.
