2026 Availability Calendar - Homer Halibut Hunters
Quickly See All 2026 Season Availability
Welcome to our real-time 2026 availability calendar. The Alaskan fishing season offers world-class opportunities from May 15th through October 1st. While the fishing is excellent throughout this window, please note that June, July, and August are peak months for trophy halibut and multispecies trips. Because demand is incredibly high during the summer, we strongly recommend booking your seats as early as possible—these dates often fill up months in advance, and once they are gone, we cannot add more seats.
How to use our 2026 Availability Calendar:
- All of Homer Halibut Hunters boats are a maximum of 6 anglers per US Coast Guard Regulations
- We have 4 boats on fishing trips daily.
- Our boat called Taurus is one of the largest, yet sportiest and fastest, 6 passenger boats in the Homer charter fleet. This boat is $50.00 per angler more than our standard trip pricing and is referrred to as our “premium boat upgrade” during the check out process if you wish to book it.
- If you have any problems or need help, use the chat tool on our website (it goes to a live person!) or give us a all at 907-302-41267
Important Booking Notes for 2026
When planning your trip, please be aware of the federal halibut regulations in Area 3A. Typically, Wednesdays are closed to charter halibut fishing throughout the season. Additionally, we may find that some or all Tuesdays are also designated as closed days by the IPHC but we typically don’t see those regulations until March or early April
However, Homer Halibut Hunters participates in a specialized GAF (Guided Angler Fish) program that allows us to offer halibut fishing even on these closed days for an extra cost. While this is a great “safety net” for travelers with limited schedules, it is still best to book your trip on a standard open day if your itinerary allows. If you have questions about specific dates or the closed-day program, feel free to contact us!
